ATTENTION: All MCSS Schools Closed March 16th – March 31st
To support the state’s efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, Meriwether County Schools will close all schools, starting Monday, March 16, 2020 through Tuesday, March 31, 2020 or until further guidance recommends otherwise. WHILE THERE HAS NOT BEEN A CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19 IN MERIWETHER COUNTY, this decision is made to support the state’s recommendation to reduce the potential exposure of the coronavirus through the recommended practice of social distancing and self-quarantine to slow the spread of the virus.
All school activities will also be suspended during this time, including athletic competitions and other events until further notice.

Meriwether County Schools would like to apologize for the short notice of this communication and any inconvenience this may cause. Student, staff, and community health and well-being is our top priority in the Meriwether County Schools.
All middle and high school students will have a combination of hard copy packets and online assignments to complete during the two weeks we will be out. Please speak with your students about their work and email their teachers if you have any questions.
