Thanks for Joining Us at Our October Parent Meeting!

Thank you to all of the middle school parents and family members who joined us for our October Parent Meeting! At the meeting, Mr. Owens and Mrs. Heaton (site coordinators for the 21st Century After School Program) shared updates on the program and how students can sign up if they want to join. Mrs. Barnes and Ms. Tucker (coordinators of the Morehouse After School Program) shared the same information about their program.

GMS Counselor, Ms. Jordan, shared information on our middle school clubs and organizations, upcoming field trips, and our partnership with Pathways Counseling, which is available to any students who need additional support.

Mrs. Heaton, Instructional Coach at GMHS, then discussed the STAR reading and math assessments that middle school students take several times throughout the school year. She passed out individual student score reports to parents/family members and went over how to read the reports and how parents/family members can help their students at home with reading and math.
