Dear Meriwether County Citizens:
I wish to update parents/guardians, students, faculty, and the communities of the Meriwether County School System regarding the reopening process for the 2021-2022 school year. The first day for students is Monday, August 16, 2021. The Reopening Plan will be released no later than Wednesday, August 11, 2021. This Reopening Plan will provide an overview of the anticipated guidance for re-entry to the traditional in-person setting on Monday, August 16, 2021.
From today, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, until the first day of school on Monday, August 16, 2021, we will continue to monitor the data regarding COVID and make decisions accordingly. Please understand that all plans are subject to change due to the uncertainty of the COVID virus. As a result of the continuous changes and updates regarding COVID, we will wait to release our Reopening Plan until Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
The health and safety of our students and staff will be our top priority during this time of uncertainty regarding COVID. Meriwether County Schools will continue to collaborate with local and state health officials and will provide updates to keep the public informed. Please stay tuned to all Websites for updates and announcements. Your patience is sincerely appreciated during these uncertain times.
