Ms. Ida Freeman

Ms. Freeman is the District Coordinator for the entire 21st Century Community Learning Center After-School Program for the Meriwether County School System. She supervises all four after-school program locations (Greenville Middle, Manchester Middle, Unity Elementary, and Mountain View Elementary), and she works with the site coordinators at each location to ensure that the program activities run smoothly at each site. She also manages the required documentation, paperwork, and budget for the district’s after-school programs, and she makes sure that every site has the resources and supplies it needs to facilitate fun and engaging activities for their students. Mrs. Elise Heaton

Mrs. Heaton is the Instructional Coach for both Greenville Middle and Greenville High School. She serves as one of the two 21st CCLC After-School Program Site Coordinators at Greenville Middle School, along with Mr. Owens. She works as the Site Coordinator on Mondays and Wednesdays. On these days she facilitates the academic and enrichment sessions, provides students with snacks, and handles required paperwork and documentation for the program. Mr. Antonio Owens

Mr. Owens is the Assistant Principal at Greenville Middle School and serves as the other After-School Program Site Coordinator at GMS with Mrs. Heaton. Mr. Owens works as the Site Coordinator on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He also works as one of our after-school program teachers on Mondays and Wednesdays. On these days, he provides math help and tutoring, and he also facilitates fun enrichment opportunities for our attending students. Mr. Owens is available anytime via phone or email to answer any questions you may have about the school’s after-school program!

Ms. Belinda Godfrey

Ms. Godfrey is the Marketing, Business, and Computer Science teacher at Greenville Middle School. As one of the school’s Connections/CTAE teachers, she gets to work with all students in grades 6 through 8. Ms. Godfrey typically works with the After-School Program every day (Mondays through Thursdays). In addition to providing homework help and assistance, Ms. Godfrey provides enrichment opportunities in the following areas: graphic design, digital media, photography, videography, broadcasting, product design, and marketing.

Mr. Jon Olson

Mr. Olson is the Robotics teacher at Greenville Middle School. Like Ms. Godfrey, he is one of our Connections/CTAE teachers, so he also gets to work with all students in grades 6 through 8. Mr. Olson works with the After-School Program 2-3 days per week. In addition to providing homework help and assistance, he provides enrichment opportunities in the following areas: robotics, drones, coding, 3D printing, technology, and computer science.

Ms. Venus Leonard

Ms. Leonard is the 7th Grade Math Teacher at Greenville Middle School. She works with the school’s After-School Program 2-3 days per week, focusing on helping students in all grade levels with their math skills and coursework. Although her specialty is math, Ms. Leonard also helps students with any homework, projects, quizzes, tests, etc. that they may have for any other class as well. She also plans and facilitates engaging activities, such as digital escape/breakout rooms and Spanish language lessons.

Ms. Jordan is the School Counselor at Greenville Middle. As such, she is a member of the administrative team, works and collaborates with all teachers and staff members, and serves all students in grades 6 through 8. Ms. Jordan works with the After-School Program 1-2 days per week. In addition to helping students with homework, projects, tests, and quizzes, Ms. Jordan provides enrichment opportunities in the following areas: college and career research, social-emotional learning, meditation and stress management, yoga, future and financial planning, cooking, baking, and brain teasers/games.

Ms. Leslie Chadwick

Ms. Chadwick is Greenville Middle School’s 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher. She usually works with the After-School Program one day per week (typically on Wednesdays). On this day, Ms. Chadwick runs the “Lit Wits” Book Club, during which students read books, excerpts from books, short stories, or poems and participate in activities that accompany the text(s) they read. These activities often include, but are not limited to, viewing the film adaptations of the texts, art projects, teambuilding activities, group discussions, and science/engineering projects.

Dr. Jones is the 6th Grade Math Teacher at Greenville Middle School. When she works with the After-School Program, she provides help and assistance with homework, projects, tests, and quizzes in all subject areas, but her specialties are Math, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, she provides enrichment opportunities primarily in the following areas: cooking, baking, and arts & crafts.
