GMHS Marketing Program Earns Industry Certification!
The Marketing Education Program of Greenville Middle High School has achieved Industry Certification from the Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association, the nation’s largest and most prestigious group of Marketing Executives and Professionals. This is a national recognition and endorsement.
Endorsement by AMA means that the instructors, Walter Burgess and Belinda Godfrey, and the Marketing Program of Instruction at GMHS have met the standards of excellence recognized by AMA as meeting or exceeding the highest levels of career readiness set by this group of professionals reflecting the standards of the industry.
To earn this distinction, the instructor(s) conducted a documentation protocol of in-depth standards of achievement, and then the students presented examples of their curriculum projects and the school-based enterprises, businesses operated by students. These were examined by representatives from AMA, the Georgia Department of Education, and local business and professional leaders.
Students who presented for the executive board immediately receive their commendation and credential on their transcript. All students who complete the Marketing Pathway from this point forward will receive the credential at the conclusion of the pathway at graduation.
