Important Information
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Unity Elementary considers the health and well-being of our students, teachers, and staff to be of the utmost importance. In consultation with the Georgia Department of Public Health regarding student, faculty, and staff COVID-19 positive cases and quarantines required at Unity Elementary School, traditional fourth-grade students’ academic instruction will transition to remote learning through Friday, November 20, 2020. During the timeframe from Wednesday, November 11, 2020, until the fourth-grade students return on Monday, November 30, 2020, the fourth-grade wing at Unity Elementary School will be thoroughly cleaned and fogged to help assure student and staff health and safety upon their return to traditional instruction on Monday, November 30, 2020.
The staff at Unity Elementary School will be in touch with the parents/guardians of all fourth-grade students who are transitioning to remote learning as soon as feasible regarding instruction until the students return to the facility on Monday, November 30, 2020. As a reminder, the week of Monday, November 23, 2020, through Friday, November 27, 2020, is the Thanksgiving holiday break, and there will be no school or assignments.
We are monitoring the situation closely. We will provide further updates if needed.
Thank you for your patience and support as we take measures to address the safety and well-being of our staff and students.
