School Closed!
Due to the threat of inclement weather from the current storm front, all traditional school instruction, learning, and extra-curricular activities will transition to remote learning for Thursday, March 18, 2021. Meriwether County is currently in an Enhanced severe weather risk category through Thursday morning, March 18, 2021. Damaging winds, tornadoes, heavy rain, and large hail are all possible with this storm front. With bus routes servicing 580 miles of dirt roads, some with low-lying bridges, which become hazardous in these weather scenarios, it is best to air on the side of caution on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Traditional learners who will learn remotely tomorrow, March 18, 2021, will be working on assignments, etc. There will be no requirement for the current traditional learners to access any learning platforms required of the current remote learners. All staff will report to their worksites and be available via phone and email at 11:30 AM tomorrow, March 18, 2021, unless notified otherwise. The current meal deliveries for remote learners will tentatively begin at 1 PM on Thursday, March 18, 2021. The school system will resume a normal schedule on Friday, March 19, 2021. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience regarding this transition due to the weather. Thank you for your support and patience as we assure the safety and health of students.
