Student Literary Launch

On Thursday, January 31st, GMHS students, parents, and staff members joined together for the Student Literary Launch for GMHS’s student magazine “Perspectives.” Several high school students shared the poetry and prose that they contributed to the magazine, some of which was even submitted to the GA Department of Education and won state awards! Middle school student Micah Alford opened the event with a beautiful reading of Langston Hughes’ poem “Mother to Son.” Thank you to all of the staff and community members who joined us, and a very special thank you to GHS English teacher, Ms. Patricia Ervin, for putting together this wonderful event and for always working so hard with and for our students!
