GMS Teacher of the Month for January

Congratulations to Greenville Middle School’s Teacher of the Month, Ms. Candice McDowell! Ms. McDowell works with students in both 6th and 7th grade classrooms and is also the GMS cheer coach. She comes to work everyday with a positive attitude and a beautiful smile on her face. She builds positive relationships with both students and staff, and she works hard to help struggling students succeed in all of their endeavors. We are so lucky to have her as a member of the GMS family! Thank you for all you do Ms. McDowell!

GMS would also like to thank and celebrate the following teachers for their time working on extended day during first semester: Dr. Jones, Mr. McKoy, Mr. Rippy, Mr. Olson, Ms. Kendricks, and Ms. Grier. After a couple of teachers left GMS mid-semester, these teachers volunteered to give up their planning periods to teach those classes so that our students did not miss out on valuable instruction. Huge shout out to these hardworking and dedicated teachers who always have our students’ best interests at heart!

Finally, we would like to welcome the two newest members of the GMS family! Ms. Leonard is rejoining the GMS team as our 7th grade math teacher. Mr. Daniel is the most recent teacher to join our team — he will be teaching 6th grade science and social studies. We are so happy to have these two hardworking and dedicated educators with us!
